  3.         We deal with the Gay/Bi/Lesbian communities with the emphasis 
  4.         on bear friendly communities.

  6.         This network is for all Gay/Bi/Lesbian BBS message bases. 
  7.         Following are the guidelines for accessing this network.

  10.         GENERAL STRUCTURE RULES:

  12.                 This network is divided into 5 parts.

  50.                 Area Coordinators (AC (NET COORDINATORS), Hubs, and
  51.                 Nodes will be figured out as we get them. However, the 
  52.                 Hub for Southern California will be seperated by COUNTY AND
  53.                 AREA CODES!!! All other Hubs will be seperated by area code
  54.                 only. This is due to Pacific Bell (tm) and their numerous
  55.                 area codes!
  56.                 
  57.                 Nodes will be set by the hub in their area.  If a hub does    
  58.           
  59.                 not exist, the new node must be set up through their area     
  60.          
  61.                 coordinator, then Regional, then zone IN THAT ORDER!
  62.                 All complaints can be given to the net-up on the command
  63.                 latter. (IE:  Hub having problem with their Area Coordinator
  64.                 would submit their problem to the Regional)

  67.         GENERAL MESSAGE BASE RULES:

  70.                 Message Bases are seperated into 5 categories.

  73.                 RED: Over 21
  74.  
  75.                 YELLOW: Gay/Lesbian/Bi ONLY
  76.  
  77.                 GREEN: General Message Bases open to all users.
  78.  
  79.                 BLUE:  Sysop Message Bases (MANDATORY)

  81.                 WHITE: Organization sponsored echos
  82.  
  83.                 ECHOS WITH NO COLOR CODE ARE ONLY AVAILABLE FROM THE HUB
  84.                 NET, OR REGION THAT SPONSORS THEM. 
  85.                                
  86.                 Priority of message bases will be RED and YELLOW due to
  87.                 the nature of the network.  We request (but dont demand) 
  88.                 that you try to curb your message bases from GREEN for
  89.                 they are available on many other networks (like fido, etc).

  91.                 You may add green to your local BEARLIST and request it in
  92.                 the main BEARLIST that comes out at any time, however, you
  93.                 must get permission to add BLUE, RED, and YELLOW Message
  94.                 areas from Cowboy Communications before putting them online
  95.                 for we are ultimately responsible for that BEARLIST and it's 
  96.                 contents.

  98.                 FLAMING/BASHING IS ILLEGAL ON ALL MESSAGE BASES ON 
  99.                 BruinNetwork! Any such messages found on the message
  100.                 bases MUST be deleted by the board sysop, echomail 
  101.                 coordinator, hub, regional, or Zone coordinator if found.
  102.  
  103.                 ALL NEW BBSs on the network MUST register with Cowboy 
  104.                 Communications for they deal with the nodelist directly.
  105.                 Cowboy Communications, Zone Coordinators, Regional
  106.                 Coordinators, Area Hosts and Hubs are allowed to edit the 
  107.                 BearNode list. Only the BearEcho coordinator is allowed to
  108.                 edit the BEARECHO.NA (echo list)
  109.  
  110.                 If you are a HUB, AC (Host), RC, or ZC, please notify 
  111.                 Cowboy Communications if you add or delete a node so we can 
  112.                 keep our registry up to date.

  119.                 You may not charge for echos due to the fact that there
  120.                 are not enough BBSs available for another bbs to connect
  121.                 to for free echos... There simply is not enough connects
  122.                 to do so yet.

  128.                 HUBS,HOSTS (AC), and REGIONALS(RC) may charge for echos to
  129.                 help defray long distance costs.

  133.         And that is about it!  To join this network, please fill out the
  134.         application marked BEARJOIN.APP and transmit it to us at Cowboy
  135.         Communications or any other BN HUB,HOST, RC, or Zone. Look for your 
  136.         closest connect in the file marked BEARNODE.BBS
  137.  
  138.         Cowboy Communications has the final say on all problems that deal
  139.         with the network.  Appeals can be made if transmitted E-mail to
  140.         Cowboy Communications is received within 3 months of decision.
